“March For Justice” Protest

Hundreds of supporters of the National Democratic Congress protest on the principal streets of Accra against what they describe as lawlessness and rising insecurity in the country. The “March for justice” protest rides on the back of the #FixTheCountry social media campaign where many youths expressed their disappointment against the sitting government. President Nana Akuffo- Addo’s government has faced heavy criticisms and backlash after security forces clashed with protestors where two people died and four others were injured.
“We urge all citizens to abide by the law and conduct themselves in a manner that ensures peace reigns during and after the 2020 General Election. Be an agent of peace while exercising your civic responsibility,” the Electoral Commission of Ghana said late Sunday.
